Prayer Guidelines for Northern California Churches

Prayer Guidelines for Northern California Churches

To help the saints enter into a life of prayer, a set of practical guidelines has been developed (see button below). It is intended for all the saints to build up the primary ministry of prayer in the churches. The apostolic charge ought to be heeded: “I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men, on behalf of kings and all who are in high position…I desire therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands…similarly… women…” (1 Tim. 2:1-2a, 8-9a).

We encourage all the saints to make a vow of intercession before the Lord, that is, to set aside regular times of prayer personally, in twos and threes, in small groups, and in the church prayer meetings.

May we consecrate this year of 2020, the beginning of a new decade, to be a year of prayer. This is not a movement, but an urgent appeal that the Lord gain groups of saints in various localities to be a people of prayer, and that His church would truly become a house of prayer (Matt. 21:13).

Finally, these guidelines are not meant to be used in a legal and restrictive way. The attached schedule of prayer timetable with its explanations as well as the daily suggested prayer topics are offered as an aid to the saints’ personal and corporate exercise and practice.

May the Lord raise up the Northern California churches to persevere in the continual ministry of prayer at the throne of God (Acts 1:14; Eph. 6:18; Col. 4:2)!
