Dear friends and families,
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be able to have the in-person Children’s Bible Camp this year. But we will have a virtual Bible Camp with six pre-recorded videos full of singing, stories, memory verses and love from the saints. This year’s content of the Bible Camp is on the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther with the subject “The Recovery of God’s House and God’s Kingdom”. We will only cover six lessons from Ezra and Nehemiah. Four lessons from Esther will be covered at another time.
We plan to premier the videos from the Church in Sacramento web site from June 22-26, Monday through Saturday, from 7 pm-7:30 pm. After the premier, it will be available on the Church in Sacramento web site. If you miss the 7 pm premier, you can watch the video at a later time. We encourage the children to participate in singing and memorizing verses along with the video whenever possible. Parents are encouraged to sit next to the children to help them participate.
After the premier, we suggest that each locality set up its own Zoom meeting from 7:30 pm – 8 pm to interact with the children/families for review/overflow. But it is up to each locality’s Bible Camp contact person to decide what to do. If there is a Bible Camp after-premier Zoom meeting, you will be contacted. The Bible Camp contact persons for Davis are: Daniel Lee /Ray Kung
There is no registration or fee required. Anyone is welcome to join. Please feel free to pass on this information to invite anyone you would like. We hope this virtual Bible Camp can reach so many children/families to nourish, cherish and bring them closer to the Lord. The handbook will be available online at the Church in Sacramento website for parents to download/print. It consists of songs, reading schedule, memory verses, activity pages and projects. It is a good resource to use for the children/families throughout the summer.
The link and instructions to get to the 2020 virtual Bible Camp will be sent by June 19, 2020. Please watch for its coming. During this time of uncertainties and restrictions, may our spirits get stirred up to rise up, go up and build the house of God.
“…rose up, even everyone whose spirit God has stirred up to go up to build the house of Jehovah, which is in Jerusalem.” Ezra 1:5
