We would like to sound the call to all the saints in the church in Davis to join with the churches in Northern California to sanctify the next two weeks—from Tuesday, March 24, through Monday, April 6, 2020—as a special time of prayer in response to the unprecedented changes in the world situation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As we know that the primary function of the church is to pray for God’s will in the heavens to be carried out on the earth; furthermore, all the blessings that we have received as believers are for the church to fulfill her function of prayer. Recently, brother Minoru, the responsible brothers in NorCAL, and indeed all of us, are strongly burdened that the church should fulfill her prayer ministry to match Christ’s intercession in His heavenly ministry, so that God’s will can be done on earth at this critical time.
As such, we strongly encourage the saints to do the following:
Sign Up—Sign up at http://tiny.cc/norcal-prayer-signup to schedule your daily and weekly prayer times for the next two weeks:
Personal Prayer—Schedule a fixed time to pray personally to the Lord for 15 minutes or more each day
Prayer with Companions—Schedule weekly times to pray with companions for 15 minutes or more each time
Prayer Items—Use the list of prayer items given by Brother Minoru, and the following lists are provided as practical help to our prayer exercise in these two weeks
For English: 20200324 NorCal Prayer (English)

May the Lord richly elevate the church in Davis’ prayer ministry and function at this critical time for His universal administration. Amen.

Dear saints meeting in the church in Davis,
This week, in response to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) published guidelines concerning group gatherings. In accord with these guidelines, the church in Davis will make the following temporary modifications to our meeting schedule for the balance of the month of March starting immediately:
(1) All small group meetings should meet remotely via videoconference or phone and not in person.
(2) There will be no Lord’s Day meetings, including children’s meetings, on 3/15, 3/22, and 3/29 in the meeting halls. We encourage small groups to meet via videoconference or phone for fellowship.
(3) Prayer meetings on 3/17, 3/24, and 3/31 will be held remotely by small group via videoconference or phone.
(4) The young people’s meetings on 3/14, 3/21, and 3/28 are cancelled.
The CDPH guidelines can be found at https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/CDPH Document Library/Gathering_Guidance_03.11.20.pdf.
We anticipate that more guidance will come out from the prayer and fellowship of the leading brothers in the church. We will do our best to keep the saints informed. Please check for updates on the church’s website—http://www.churchindavis.org.
Standing firmly in the Lord,
The responsible brothers in the church in Davis
In light of the current world situation, the co-workers in the Lord’s recovery feel that now is the time to call on the saints in every place to pray in one accord as the one new man for the Lord’s interests on the earth. To facilitate this burden, a new website has been set up, unceasinglypray.org. This site is intended to foster round-the-clock, global prayer for 21 days, from April 1 to April 21, 2020. Visit unceasinglypray.org to:
- Sign up to receive prayer burdens and reminders via email
- Read an introductory letter from the co-workers
- Select 15-minute daily time slots to pray
- Pray over 21 suggested points for the saints’ intercession
- Confirm participation in this prayer ministry
Many brothers and sisters in Davis and in other churches in Northern California have already begun praying in this way over the past week. We feel that we are therefore well-prepared for entering into this burden with a fresh encouragement that we are joining the prayers of the one new man across the whole earth.

Subject: GTCA 2020: A Fresh New Move of the Lord
(For further information, please visit gtca.us. )
Dear saints in the local churches in North America,
With assurance from the Holy Spirit and based on much prayer and fellowship among the co-workers in North America, we are eager to announce a fresh, intensified move of GTCA—Gospelize, Truthize, Churchize America—in 2020 and 2021 to spread the Lord’s recovery across the United States and Canada.
Brother Witness Lee believed that in this age, God has chosen the US to be the base for the spreading of His recovery on the earth. He strongly felt that as the world’s leading nation located at the crossroads of the globe, America was raised up for the Lord’s ultimate move: the corporate living of Christ in the local churches as golden lampstands and the perfecting of the testimony of His Body to bring forth the one new man.
Throughout the 1980s, brother Lee spoke repeatedly concerning the need to propagate the Lord’s testimony in the heartland of America, including “the so-called Bible Belt from North Carolina to Arizona.” Our brother considered not only the US as a whole, but, more specifically, Middle America to be most strategic for the Lord’s interest.
In particular, the southern and central regions of the US were very much on brother Lee’s heart. He regarded these crucial areas as places open to the recovery, full of proper and promising people—godly believers and Christ-seekers—waiting to be contacted and gained. He hoped that a good number of saints would be led to migrate to many cities and states in America’s heartland, to gain a solid increase for His testimony and bring in a great blessing.
Our burden for Middle America is not new. Over the past two decades, GTCA has targeted many cities located in this area for the saints’ migration. At this time, however, there is a need for a renewed effort to strengthen the Lord’s move here for His advance in this country. Particularly, we want to gain the typical Americans (primarily those of Caucasian, African, and Hispanic descent), a new generation of college students from university campuses both large and small, as well as families in the community.
This GTCA move focuses on 10 key cities in the US. Most of these localities have an existing church that needs to be strengthened in order to become a base for propagation to nearby cities and states in the coming years. These 10 localities are:
- Charlotte, NC
- Columbia, SC
- Orlando, FL
- Memphis, TN
- St. Louis, MO
- Lexington, KY
- Cincinnati, OH
- Minneapolis, MN
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Richmond, VA
For the present move in the US, two primary goals have been set:
- 300 qualified saints (an average of 30 saints per city) to commit to migrating to the 10 US cities/churches. These brothers and sisters can range in age from young adults to seniors and may be university students, single saints, or married couples.
- 30 full-time campus workers to form five campus teams, each with a player-coach (an average of six full-timers per team).
As always, we strongly encourage all the saints in all the local churches to bring this burden to the Lord and respond in three main ways:
- Sign up to receive further news via email, including GTCA-related reports and updates, weekly prayer burdens, and announcements concerning various regional conferences regarding migration to these areas.
- Pray concerning the present call to migrate to Middle America. Consecrate yourself, your family, and your job to the Lord for the spread of His testimony. Seek the Lord’s mind and receive His leading as to whether to go and where to go.
- Fellowship with the leading ones in your locality if you are burdened to migrate. Open to the feeling of the Body for your protection and supply, and, ultimately, for the Lord’s blessing on your potential move.
For further information, please visit gtca.us. May the Lord bless this fresh move of His to gain the people of this blessed nation and commission all His saints to pray, give, and go for the spread of the gospel of the kingdom in America.

For your information and prayers….
Every Lord’s Day evening at 8:30-9:00 pm on KFAX 1100am– There is a broadcast of the Life-Study of the Bible with Witness Lee. It is followed immediately for 1 hour (9 PM – 10 PM) by a LIVE call-in program with co-workers answering questions and discussing the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee with local listeners and offering free Recovery Versions and other literature from Living Stream to them.
This program is an excellent way of spreading the riches of this ministry to our fellow, seeking and hungry believers in Northern California. It is in the principle of providing “gleanings” to the poor, the sojourners, the orphans and the widows:
“God’s commandment concerning the reaping of the harvest was that Jehovah would bless the children of Israel if they left the corners of their fields and the gleanings for the poor, the sojourners, the orphans, and the widows. Concerning this, Leviticus 23:22 says, “When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the alien.” A similar word is found in Leviticus 19:9-10. Deuteronomy 24:19 says, “When you reap your harvest in your field and you forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not turn back to gather it; it shall be for the sojourner, the orphan, and the widow, in order that Jehovah your God may bless you in all your undertakings.” This shows not only the lovingkindness of God and how great, fine, and detailed He is, but shows also the rich produce of the good land. ” (Life-study of Ruth Message 3)
This program is supported by the churches in Northern California at the cost of $20,000 a year.
If you feel led by the Lord to participate in support of this program, you may write a check to “The Church in Davis”. Please designate your offerings to “Radio Broadcast Support” and drop it in the offering box at the church in Davis meeting hall (or mail to “The church in Davis – 1970 Lake Blvd. STE 5, Davis CA 95616). These offerings will be forwarded to the brothers responsible for this radio broadcast ministry.
